OUR PROCESS
Our goal is to get you from “what a great idea” to “what a great film” as effortlessly as possible. That’s why we use a multi-phase budgeting and production process that ensures you get the most value and clarity possible.
HOW BUDGETS WORK
To eliminate guesswork and prevent surprises, project budgets are developed in three stages:
Initial RangeWe start with an early estimate based on your goals.
Working BudgetRefined during the development phase to maximize your investment and create clarity.
Production BudgetOnce the idea is locked, we finalize a full budget before production begins.
PHASE 1: Discovery
We start by understanding your goals and defining the right approach.
What story are we telling?
Who is it for?
What does success look like?
What level of production is appropriate?
At this stage, we’ll provide a budget range based on similar projects.
Outcome: A clear direction and a realistic sense of investment.

PHASE 2: CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
This is where we build the project before anything is filmed.
Concept and creative development
Scriptwriting and story structure
Production planning (crew, locations, schedule)
Iterative budgeting and scope alignment
This phase is a paid engagement, as it involves significant time, coordination, and expertise.
Why this matters:
It allows us to fully design the project around your goals and your budget—before committing to production.
Outcome: A complete, executable plan with a detailed budget and timeline.
PHASE 2.5: GREENLIGHT DECISION
Once the plan is complete, you decide how to proceed:
Move forward as-is
Adjust scope to better fit budget
Or pause the project
There is no obligation to continue into production.
Outcome: You have clarity and control before making a larger investment.

PHASE 3: PRODUCTION
With everything aligned, we move into execution.
Pre-production planning & logistics
Filming
Post-production
This phase is governed by a separate production agreement with a defined scope, timeline, and payment schedule.
IMPORTANT:
Because the project is fully planned in advance, productions run efficiently and predictably.
Changes & Flexibility
We understand needs can evolve.
If something changes after production begins, we handle it through a simple, transparent process:
Any changes outside the agreed scope are quoted in advance
Work proceeds only after approval
This ensures you stay in control of both creative direction and budget.

PHASE 4: Delivery & Distribution
The project isn’t over when the final file is delivered. We’ll work with you to figure out the best platforms, strategies, formats, and models for your project – from film festivals to national broadcast and yes, even the award show stage. Our goal isn’t just to make a film – it’s to help you get it seen and achieve your goals.
Why this process works
You get clarity before committing to production
The creative is built around real-world constraints
Budgets are accurate and intentional
Production is efficient and predictable
Most importantly, it allows us to focus on delivering high-quality work without cutting corners or introducing risk.
